and adults can play too!

Who is this camp for?
We welcome families of all types, including single or two parent homes, co-parents, LGBTQ families, legal guardians and children all ages who value connection to nature, screen-free time together, and community empowerment and support.
Our Next Session: Friday, July 31st - Tuesday, August 4th 2026
Where: 88 Oracle Way, Independence, Virginia at Oracle Campus.

Our Expansive Why
In todays digital age, children are overscheduled, parents are overwhelmed, and you find yourself going through the motions of each day without authentic connection and alignment. At Family Camp, we shift this paradigm to one of slowing down, deep connection with yourself, each other, and nature, and empowering our community. Before fall schedules proceed, school begins, and the rhythm of daily life sets into motion, may we take a sacred pause to solidify our connection what what makes us human living in this digital age.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I need to use my phone or computer for work or personal communication?
We ask that you do your very best to limit your time on your devices, however tempting it is. However, we understand that emergencies come up, and disconnecting for five days may be a lot to ask. In the case you need to access your device, we ask that you do it in your private space, and away from children to keep the screen-free container available for them.
Can kids offer a skill share activity?
What if no one signs up for my offering?
Absolutely! We welcome any one why feels inspired to offer their skill.
Don't take it personally if no one signs up for your activity! If that happens, we will help you recalibrate and flow with the day
Is your camp wheelchair accessible?
What if my activity requires technology like music?
Unfortunately our camp is not wheelchair accessible. However, you can drive to most places on campus. We also have a club car that will be available to you need support getting from one location to another.
If possible, try to be as low tech as possible. However, if you choose to lead an activity that requires music, you are able to connect your phone to a speaker to play music. Please talk to Melissa about your activity to see what works best.
